| Collecting Since: | 1992 |
| How I Started Collecting: | I saw Bob Mackie's "Empress Bride" in a store in London and fell in love with it. I was a (poor) design student so I thought I would make one instead of buying it. I got a playline doll and started customizing. Those were the good old days when playline dolls had the same face mould as collector dolls. I began collecting by making my own OOAK dolls. Then I started buying a few collector dolls, and found out about Barbie Bazaar which opened up the world of Fashion Dolls and Barbie. I read about conventions and I then went to the 1999 convention in the USA and found out there were people as crazy as me. Some are even " Scary Crazy!"

| My Collection: | My collection is mostly Barbie, Ken and related Mattel dolls although I have a couple FR and a few Gene and Tyler dolls.
I am not keen on the superstar face mould any more so I am redressing/swapping heads. My beloved Empress Bride (yes I got one in the end) will have a new head soon. Closed mouth preferable. |
| Favorite Dolls: | Byron Lars, Bob Mackies, So In Style, Barbie Basics,my OOAKs, Julia dolls, my convention dolls amongst others. I love the Steffie face mould too. Tango and Zac Posen are my favorite Kens.

| Suggestion to New Collectors: | Enjoy your collection and play with your dolls. Don't collect for investment as doll prices yo-yo and you may not make much in the end. |
| Other Collector News to Share: | Still trying to set up a club in the UK but the few collectors here are still in the closet. Maybe one day... |
