| How I Started Collecting: | when I was about 8 or ten years old I asked my father to buy me a Chatty Cathy doll for Christmas and I did not get it. when I was about in my late 30's or early 40's I went to the Mattel store located in El Segundo California and fell in love with the Bob Mackie Starlight Splendor and from there on I have been collection Barbie dolls.

| My Collection: | My collection is composed of Bob Mackies, Bryon Lars, Robert Best, Avon, Holiday Barbies any AA doll you name it and I just might have one. |
| Favorite Dolls: | My favorite dolls would be each and every one of the Byron Lars barbies and of course the Starlight Splendor by Bob Mackie, which got me started collecting.

| Suggestion to New Collectors: | Buy what you can afford (and don't go crazy like me). If I like a barbie doll I might buy five or more of that one type. |
| Other Collector News to Share: | I learned how to make Barbie clothes about two years ago and love the hobby. Now that I have been sewing I've showed my daughter how to make clothes and she's just as crazy as I am about sewing for Barbie. |
